Vol. 5 of Pandemix Live Jams kicks of with „Reality Benders“ - a reflection on the 2020 US elections. Broken beats and a haunted melody over a monotonous but hypnotic modular bassline.A2 „For Pete’s 60th*“ is a dedication to Pete Namlook’s 60th birthday - the day this jam was recorded. A dreamy Ambient piece with sprinkles of ASMR and a narration by Manuela Krause over deep basses and soft ambient swirls.The entire B-side is dedicated to the Jazz tinged House tune titled „The Boogie Lander“. First the original Move D version based on his 2020 Pandemix live streams. Funky and with a certain sense of humour. At this version’s core is a long spaced out electric guitar solo.B2 then gives us the „Other Worldly Jazz Remix“ by the amazing Reggie Dokes who elevates the track to a whole new and even jazzier level. Nevertheless, Reggie still keeps the dance floor in mind. Quite a remarkable remix to end a little more experimental Move D EP.

“friends-making-music-for-friends-so-friends-can-dance-with-friends-to-make-more-friends” This is the third release on the “For Playful Manners” label presenting a split record by Gwenan Spearing from Whales, living in Berlin, who is an algorithmic coder during the day and a dj and producer by night. Gwenan loves techno and she is presenting on For Playful Manners 03 her first club music compositions (and there are plenty more to follow!). The two other tracks are from Camiflage who is based in Brussels/Belgium and is a movie animator during weekdays and a producer, label owner (Snaretrade Records) and dj during the wee wee hours of the weekend. M.E.R. proudly presents MER007 : Santiago Uribe - The Death of Cool EP.Santiago is back to his collective’s label catalog with a dancefloor-oriented production crafted with his characteristic clean and neat sound.Side A fills with two techno tracks. A1 stands out for its playful acid basslines and a classic drumming groove. A2 highlights with bright and sharp drum plates, round fat bass and smooth synths : a proper dancefloor piece.For B side Santiago presents two tracks: B1 full of deep and grooving sound with an effective interaction between drumming elements. Closing the EP, B2 features a down-to-earth sound landscape, resembling a sort of ritual music that builds up a sticky, dark and hypnotic atmosphere.
