The 90’s San Francisco underground electronic scene always commanded a great deal of love and respect here at OCD. It played an important role not only in the development of the global electronic music scene, but also in our personal, never-ending journey of discovery. Back in 1996, between the early releases of one of the SF’s scene most important and pioneering record labels, Sunburn Records, an EP titled “Plum Pudding EP” by an artist called “Trailmix” appeared. It featured 4 tracks spanning between early hours progressive-house and more gentle, mellow breaks with a hint of electronica. For many years it has been one of our most favourite record from that scene and era.27 years later, we’re beyond stoked to have being able to successfully track down that gentleman by the name of Alan Aronoff (Trailmix) who, with no hesitation, allowed us to reissue that special EP on The Secret Sun.

After the digital release of Salsipuedes Pt1 , Uruguayan label ¨Lunfardo Records¨ side by side with Small Black Dots crosses the Atlantic and shapeshifts into vinyl to bring us ¨SALSIPUEDES Pt 2¨. The Salsipuedes Massacre was one of the first “measures” that the first Uruguayan State would take (the extermination of the Indigenous). How do you get 'in the box'? Gal Tsadok-Hai knows. After some experiments with hardware, the Amsterdam-based electronic producer recently went back to his first love: computer composing. Thus keeping open all the options. Footsteps is his first EP for SoHaSo, filled with four tracks of adventurous, left-field explorations in rhythm and melody. cl_forwardspeed 5 is dominated by sub low baslines and razor blade rhythms, while mp_footsteps 1 nods more towards early Aphex Twin and the IDM trickery from last century. Flip the record for max_smokepuffs 999, on which Gal Tsadok- Hai proves he can also bring a straight four-four to great heights. It is both spacious and tense, which makes for a great combination. On closer sv_gravity 0 it's back to the days when melody was still the default in most techno and electro. If you like the abstract machine funk from Dopplereffekt, this might just be right up your alley.

The sound of sound of T.E.W. is something out of time, with no context and far from any idea of business, all features that make their music so current. Every time someone put their records on a turntable, their music is able to open a way to suggestions, memories and reasonings that make us feeling their own language so deeply, a kind of sound that has really something to say.On 2019 T.E.W. are back with a new Habitat release, iPHiiUNiCi 1/3, the beginning of a new musical phase from the duo that many people admitted as one of the absolutely most underestimate techno projects.In 2020 the second episode: iPHiiUNiCi 2/3 and from the title we don't believe it will be the last of the series..
