ART 2. First vinyl reissue of Susumu Yokota Stevia alias. A masterful trip throughout ambient, breaks, house and jungle

In 1997 and 1998, the late great Japanese composer, producer, and DJ Susumu Yokota released two of the most eclectic albums of his decades-long career, Fruits of The Room and Greenpeace. Recorded under his Stevia alias for Tokyo Techno pioneer DJ Miku’s Newstage Records/NS-COM, they were Yokota-san’s homage to the foundational days of club music in Japan.
Remastered and packaged in reimagined cover artwork created by the celebrated Japanese visual artist Masaho Anotani, these two albums perfectly capture the diversity at the heart of Yokota-san’s oeuvre. Across Fruits of The Room, he takes us on an expansive odyssey through his personal visions for deep house, street soul, jungle/drum & bass, digital dub and the slipstream moments between genres. In complement with this, Greenpeace sees Yokota-san conjuring up a heady concoction of dusty loops, sampledelic breaks, kraut-rock and psychedelic downbeat.

''Reade Truth, what's in the name one may ask? For starters, a thirty plus year history in the NYC techno scene and a fellow techno junkie who we crossed paths with in Brooklyn very early on during the beginnings of the genre. From the moment we met in 1992 it has been nothing short of a full on family affair. Reade's dedication towards techno and his knowledge of the music is surpassed by few. It is mind-blowing to think he built the world's first techno discography database back in 1995 for the Sonic Groove Record shop. This was long before Discogs was even a thought. As an artist and DJ, Truth also represents a truly pure and untainted artist, never compromising his vision or integrity for monetary gain. In a scene where many have come and gone over the years, Reade is always here, a true techno eternalist.'' Adam X/Sonic Groove
"CCR - Club Culture Rarities" the new record label exclusively dedicated to re-prints of cult and rare 12" taken form Expanded Music's labels. The 6th release on "CCR - Club Culture Rarities" HORNBOSTEL E.P. 1 originally released on PROGRESSIVE MOTION RECORDS in 1993 Produced by Christian Hornbostel & Mr. Marvin (Virtualmismo, VFR, Tales of Underground, etc.) during their greatest artistic fertility period. HORNBOSTEL EP1 takes us back to hypnotic grooves and atmospheres built with typical instruments belonging to that music era, such as the mythical Korg M1 and Waldorf Microwave. Kontra-Musik returns with a new release on its sought after, vinyl-only, white label series. The label from the start has celebrated analogue expressions of dance music and now presents a new record by long time label collaborator PST (of Kontra, Workshop & Sued fame). On the A-side PST brings us a 15-minute long analogue techno meltdown. The track is so powerful the vinyl almost melts when played. On the flip, the mood is different. The title of the first track, Houseparty +, is very revealing to say the least, before the EP ends with artist's signature mood music house sound. PST is a master of his craft, and it is with joy and pride we release a new hand-stamped vinyl after a few years of COVID hiatus.
Another collaboration is on deck as 017 from Hakim Murphy and HEAR. Dream Scoring is up with a three track 12” titled Cinematic Panoramas. These tunes create different feels; two that are more straight up dance tunes and one with a flipped out disco vibe. This is the second 12”, following up the psychedelic Image of a Myth on Naissance Music as they continue with their moments of time scoring theme.
