With numerous releases under his belt over the years, Evanton has established himself as a leading force on the current new retrowave scene.On this EP Evanton delivers 5 fresh, unreleased tracks, ranging from modern italo-disco and hi-NRG to 80s-style electrofunk and (surprisingly) downtempo 90s balearic-style sounds. Kontra-Musik returns with a new release on its sought after, vinyl-only, white label series. The label from the start has celebrated analogue expressions of dance music and now presents a new record by long time label collaborator PST (of Kontra, Workshop & Sued fame). On the A-side PST brings us a 15-minute long analogue techno meltdown. The track is so powerful the vinyl almost melts when played. On the flip, the mood is different. The title of the first track, Houseparty +, is very revealing to say the least, before the EP ends with artist's signature mood music house sound. PST is a master of his craft, and it is with joy and pride we release a new hand-stamped vinyl after a few years of COVID hiatus.

After having him collaborating with MER’s very own Cabanelas on the B side of MER006, Fernando Zapico aka Z@P releases a full four-track EP. A record crafted with an unique imprint covering a wide range of sound within techno. A1 Submarino stands out for its ticking drumming plates and soft synths creating a sort of suspense atmosphere. A2 Sensations travels through a classic grooving sound with bright drum plates, stomping kick drum and timeless vocal sound.On the flip side, The Box features a more hypnotic and brassy sound by moving along an oscillating bassline and a jazzy percussion set. B2 features Frank 717, a peak time track with sharpened-plates percussion with an acidic and playful bassline.
