This is the genesis point for Yugambeh Country (Burleigh, Queensland) based imprint 100 FOLD. Forward facing yet with a respectful, almost romantic eye tuned into the deepest echelons of electronica and dance music so desperate for a revisit. Healthy doses of deep, esoteric atmosphere and high-tech abstraction are treated with care and precision equally.

We are softly welcomed with the peaceful entrance of Development (Imposter Syndrome B Side Mix), guided by native fauna field recordings and foley. Electronic dub energies are glued together with tropical island paradise level ambience, waves of effortlessly full pads and lush bass pulses evaporate into mist. A moment of reflection and centring before a second act of chunky and bombastic beats, dancing in harmony with the soothing nature of it’s humble beginnings. Prototrek brings us a fat slice of deep space pastoralism, high functioning trip-hop from the deepest reaches of the cosmos. The soundtrack to an interstellar journey towards unknown frontiers and endless paradigm-shifting possibilities. starting off the B side is Liquid Rats (Environment Mix). True downtempo and psybient of the highest order. Tranquil, dynamic and effortless.

Finishing up on the B side is the insanely warehouse ready Beach Goth (A.D.H.D Re-work). Straight up late 90’s/early 00’s electro and big beat with genius level intellect, a “Need For Speed: High Stakes” type beat. High octane drums, nitrous infused breaks and laser accurate bleeps all riding a bassline with infinite torque. Sounds for hitting the accelerator deep in the night and not looking back. Big “Tokyo Drift” energy on the tubular bells near the end, sending this piece high into the stratosphere. Full dichotomous flip on the records finisher; Smoking With Laraaji. Digital whip-birds announce your arrival at this atmospheric finale, warm synthetics and naturalistic percussion closes this pentalogy in the only way that feels right. With a sense of triumph and optimism. Something we could all use more of in our lives.

This record is a deeply human experience, meticulously crafted by the artist and lovingly mastered by Smallville records alumni Moomin. The energy of the natural, terrestrial moments are shared effortlessly with an otherworldly, cosmic vision of a utopic rave society.

BLACK VINYL VERSION We’re at our fifth episode on The Secret Sun series and we’re thrilled to have another legendary producer taking care of it.Miki “The Dolphin” is somebody who needs no introduction as he is, together with Francesco Farfa and Roby J, one of the pioneers of the Italian progressive scene that formed in the early 90’s in Tuscany and spread across Italy and beyond. Recognized worldwide for his productions on Interactive Test and his own Major Hypnotic Key Institute, Miki forged a solid vinyl discography that is still today very much in-demand in the second hand market, with collectors paying high prices to get their hands on the few copies around.His intense dj set activity over the past 30 years has brought the attention of many also towards his experimental analogical works: initially realized in Florence with the connection with Franco Falsini and his Interactive Test, and later, up until the first half of the 2000’s, in Ferrara, in the recording rooms of the Adrogimus Recordings Mulino where the concepts of the Major Hypnotic Key Institute were further developed thanks to long studio sessions, both alone and with renowed trained musicians.As it is now our modus operandi here at the OCD/SS HQ, we gained access to Miki’s personal DAT archives to scour for the goods; we are now bringing under the light of our sun two previously unreleased gem “Anse Takamaka”, created together with the late jazz bass player Bruno Corticelli, and “Shamballa”. To close the EP, we’re reissuing “Art Of Libido” a highly sought after track previously released on Interactive Test.

Illusion EP

Javi, a Spanish producer based in London, has predominantly kept his work under wraps bar a digital self-release and a few dub plates sporadically hand-distributed to a select few friends. His first physical release takes the form of a biopic in sound, encapsulating the past decade he spent in London across four distinct tracks.Side A opens with Medway to Old Ford, inspired by early 2000s tech-house; the rhythm and bass set the mood for a solid warm-up. Followed up with Eyelash (Electro Mix), a versatile DJ tool combining breakbeat and electro with a cheeky twist. On the flip side, Future Drive is a bouncy number with swirling arpeggiated melodies and a deep, pulsating bass. The EP closes with Shifting Reality, an Italo-disco tune with melancholic harmonies that pays homage to the early electronic scene of Valencia, Spain.
