Repress! limited repress of 500 copies in oversized gatefold sleeve

BOY Records was founded by Michael Zosel back in 1987 but it was after a few releases that he started to work with producer Arno Müller. “Brian” by Absurd was the first techno release on the label and a great success in the German techno scene. The cooperation continued with singles by Hypnopedia and New Scene that worked very well and put the name of BOY Records in the charts and clubs all around Germany and abroad. In 1990 another massive success came with the single “Kennedy” by Deep Thought and since there the label did not stop to release hit after hit by lot of names like Time Modem, “O”, Cybex Factor, Sonic System, Moskwa TV, MCL and lot more.

“Timeless Technology 1988-1991” compiles some of the best singles released on label’s most fruitful years. A selection of 24 classic tekkno traxx. Four records with printed inner sleeves packed on a silk-screened transparent Pet-Gag box. Limited edition of 500 copies

Andy Rantzen 'Return to the Source' provides an insight into the mysterious mind behind the man who has shone light on the Australian electronic music scene since the early 90s. Seven deep percussive heavy electronic funk jams, brimming with the beauty of hardware imperfections and pleasant surprises; making ideal tools for the daring dj looking to lead ears to a dimension where machines do the talking. Made between '97 and '20.
Drifted Records deliver a heavy 4 track edition to the imprint for DR004. Welcoming newly formed alias, Jack Eject, to the label with the ‘Kids Klub’ EP.The A-side provides 2 solid dance floor cuts with both ‘Kids Klub’ and ‘Rebirth’, whilst flipping over to the B-side you are thrown into action with ‘3:24AM’ - a true club pelter fluttered with vocal and tension.Rounding off with the B2 which gifts us with a very well crafted remix, as Rob Amboule offers his own groovy rendition of ‘Rebirth’.
Going back to the vaults of the iconic X Energy Records label from Italy, THANKYOU presents yet another Balearic house masterpiece for your listening pleasure. Deep and sensual androgynous vocals, dreamy synth melodies, generously pulsating bass lines that blend with the playfulness of the rhythm – all boxes are checked. Surely a soundtrack that would have graced a daytime outdoor dance floor at Amnesia in the early 90s. Faithfully brought back to life with 4 different mixes from the original releases with a meticulous remastering job by Man Made Mastering in Berlin.
Junki Inoue presents the second release on his recently founded label SAISEI from prolific Japanese producer Takuya Sugimoto under his COLOGNe alias. Deep Talk EP features 6 tracks originally released on Japanese CD only label Viola in 1999 and is a snapshot of the elevated warped-techno meets IDM productions Sugimoto is so respected for. Famous for releasing under many synonyms including COLOGNe, Web and Sammansa it was his EVA EP - the first release on FatCat Records in 1996 that stands out in his recording history. The tracks were in fact licenced from Syzygy Records in Japan, which was one of the main Japanese labels including Viola that homed his work during the 90s era he was most productive in. More recently German label Acido released The Sound There, a mini album of previously unreleased Web material recorded between 1994 and 1995 which was released last year in 2020. Deep Talk EP presents 6 tracks of intelligent and elevated techno, which show the balanced and intricate approach Sugimoto applies to his output. It has all the warmth and positive essence of the 90s era of electronic music - combining deep and beautiful sounds with headsy and intricate constructions. This is the first time this music has been made available on the vinyl format. SAISEI is a Japanese word which translates to ‘reproduction’ and ‘to play’ (as in playing records). Japanese culture is widely known for its traditional nature just as much as it is for being forward into the future and this label’s concept does justice to exactly that. Having started digging for records as early as 16 years old, Inoue delved into productions from 1990s Japan to uncover these native gems. SAISEI’s core concept is to recapture and reintroduce unique pieces of Japanese electronic music onto vinyl, to an audience it never reached before as most of this music was only released in Japan.
We’re utterly excited to welcome again Scott Featherstone on OCD after his first outing on The Secret Sun under his moniker Beyond A Voice.Scott’s spirit while making music is quite possibly the purest we’ve ever found until today: completely free in his approach to music, ingenuous and without prejudices, to our eyes he makes music like a kid discovers the world setting his productions free from any conformity. And he’s a master in his craft. We’re extremely grateful to have been able to dug through his DATS (some of which are 25 years old!) and to compile this EP that we feel encompasses the spirit of House Music in some of its most emblematic and varied facets.
