Self Oscillate

We are very excited to announce the latest offering in our AE series, an 8-inch lathe cut vinyl from Self Oscillate, the solo project of Ingo Zobel, who has been making electronic music for more than three decades and is probably best known for his work within the group Drøn. The new release, AE-14, moves beyond a simple collection of IDM tracks, offering an emotional dive into a universe of elegant glitches that creates a vast, deeply-felt sonic landscape.

For AE-14, Self Oscillate presents two IDM tracks that stand on their own, while creating a cohesive whole. On the A-side, "Yearning For Summer" takes a rather minimalist yet elaborate approach with just two main ingredients; a playful synth line and complex beats. The result is pure sonic optimism, a bright and buoyant piece filled with a kind of electronic glee that feels tailor-made for a sun-drenched day. The B-side, "Certain Premonition," is its perfect counterpart. It takes a similar route, but adds more structural elements and turns inward, exploring more intimate and pensive territories without losing any of its intricate beauty.

This collaboration highlights our shared passion for pioneering electronic music. We thank Ingo Zobel for his artistry, which eloquently captures a full spectrum of emotion within the IDM genre. The release is available as an exclusive 8" lathe cut vinyl, only through the Adepta Editions Bandcamp.
