For its first release, Metallic States proudly presents a 2 tracker from Goa Trance veteran Joking Sphinx. With 2 uncut dancefloor tracks from his archives (1996-1997), this new release from the producer proves that music can be relevant more than 25 years later, forged in the past but here to stay.
Two rare mid 90?s gems back to back from Berlin label Above the plug, After hours is the stand out track from Hi tech Criminals 1997 Self released extremely Rare Rise Up EP. Still getting played on various radio stations and Dance floors across the world, On the flip is another rare track Back to coney from the 1994 Journeyman release, Cut at Abbey road studios, the track was a dance floor favourite and contained a cheeky warriors film sample, Journeyman later became Hi tech Criminal after another Journeyman popped up, both tracks have been remastered by Analogcut mastering Berlin
Thought is the essence of where you are now.Composed in an era where people weren't concerned with music labels but just wanted to hear fresh new sounds and go out to clubs religiously, “Digital Imagination - The Essence of Thought” is a sci-fi inspired mixture of House, full- speed Trance and Trip Hop coming from a young Ted Heinz falling in love with electronic music in the thriving early 90s Boston rave scene. Originally release by Concept Records in 1993 and with original copies now hard to get ahold of, Sunny Crypt is happy to give this record a full reissue treatment with audio restored from the original DAT tape and a new graphic design.
We finally are ready to present to you the second part of the first release of our Extrasensorial Catalog. We bring you some of the best from the South American electronic scene. For C1, we are thrilled to have a good friend of the house, Pedro d´Alessandro, who steps on board with an introspective experimental dubby approach that perfectly reflects his experience as a producer. On C2, we welcome Bok-p, this uprising Uruguayan duo brings us some pure heat straight from Montevideo, with an outstanding and refreshing track that explores 90´s breaks, techno and house with a touch of that well known Uruguayan flavor. For D1, we have a massive bomb from one of the top producers of the moment, none else than JUAAN, the Argentinean producer shared with us a real peak time bomb that will make everyone shout wherever/whenever you drop this, be it in the club, the after, or a good old house party. Finally, for D2, we bring you a deep and hypnotic track by Camilo Gil & One + 1, with lots of minimal influences filled with bouncy percs and dreamy pads, suitable for any time and moment.
Flavio Folco is pleased to welcome its first release “Father Ep”.He brings his new signature inspiration from early 90’ sound and genre blendingstyle. A pumping bassline driven piece of trancy tech and the early 90’s Italian-style marking the first step in broadening FOLCO’s sound within its current musical scene. His record turned out to be warm, personal and true to his vision.Solid hardware voyages in the speakers.Logo-side is drizzled in interstellar melodies, chunky basslines and bleepy warm textures; its Info-side ventures into 90’s territory with “Nostalgic” undertones where syncopated and funky drum programming perfectly complement the bouncy bass and tumbling synth leads through deep harmony and acid influences, laced over chunky breaks and a warm analog bass. The release opens with the title track “Harmonic Disorder”, a thumping 4×4 style club cut that immediately sets the tone for the rest of the EP. This track has a relentless beat that will keep the club jumping. “Archetype” follows on the A2, a composition that showcases the true rave essence. On the info side, “Take Me Away” is a look to the past made by the heart that is sure to melt the dancefloor with rolling bass tones sat beside gritty synth pulses. Rounding off this latest output on the ItalianSound imprint is “Lifestyle”, a beautiful atmospheric design with fierce melodies and percussive drums.
