San Antón Estupendo The Pressure Company - TPC003

Estupendo is an alternative electronic band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, formed in 1993. San Antón presents newly remastered versions and bonus tracks from the pioneering album Bistró Málaga-originally released only on CD in 1994.
“San Antón” is a two-disc mind-bending collection of dystopian sci-fi electronica from the spaciest Buenos Aires-based legends Estupendo, reawakened and curated for the first time on vinyl by “The Pressure Company“. The record features a surreal tapestry of illuminated synthesizer layers, processed guitars, ample use of echo, blended watery pianos, and hypnotic soundscapes.
A perfect storm of catchy melodies along with a whole cosmos of ideas and dance-culture references packaged in a bundle of underground hits.

Following a string of acclaimed releases in 2021 ONO Records is pleased to welcome homegrown hero Guy Contact for ONO002. The prolific producer presents a collection of masterful house music that hearkens back to a bygone era whilst remaining utterly contemporary.Dive into Side A with the driving peak time energy of the title track, Desert Portal. A propulsive rhythm keeps the feet steppin’ amongst choral synthesisers, complete with a healthy dose of slap bass tension. An excursion into entrancing downtempo styles follows. Cue the chugging rhythms, lightly bubbling acid and new age enlightenment of Aquavision and One Hand One Bounce. The tempo rises again on Side B with the opener, Spinifex Drum. A dreamy introduction teases before erupting into early 90’s prog-house mania, sure to send the dancefloor spinning. A similar functionality pursues on the closing track There Is No Orb boasting a hard hitting beat laying foundation for lashing acid and circuit tweaking bleeps.
The Uruguayan master Cabanelas, owner on M.E.R and Phonoteque resident, is making his debut on Abstrack Future label with a Ep that goes from classic/present to future.
After the Ukranian double EP from Sasha Zlykh and Trippsy, Twig comes back with 4 tracks from the Italian producer Lapucci …. based in Florence with his studio, delivering dubplates and mastering service around the world.
Physical Education is back with another signature offering. Four tracks, four peak-time cuts courtesy of ‘90s production veteran Bryan Zentz, under his seldom-seen pseudonym: Barada.Originally released in 2001, futuristic house tones are top of the agenda. There’s a never-before-seen gem in here too, a track that Bryan made at the time but never put out. He found it amongst his collection of Digital Audio Tapes (DATs): now it sees the light of day for the very first time. From the fast-paced swing of Roboporn to the acid-laced tones of Eye Contact, there’s plenty to get stuck into. Subdrama ratchets up the tempo further, as does The Crimson Boogie - Zentz’ previously forgotten treat.
