Up next in our main series are Milan-based dub techno outfit Primal Code. With a solid back catalogue comprising releases for Hypnus Records, TGP and Konstrukt, the Italian duo have honed their skills to impressive effect over the last few years, forging a sound signature thoroughly engaging on both body and cerebral levels, and now punching in on KOC to breathe further hard-hitting opaque heat into the collection.Putting things into gear, “AI Calculator” propels us across dim-lit streetscapes and murky subterranean entrails, pared-down to a minimal array of modular signals, subtle machine inflections and particularly acute rhythmic progression. Steering the original into further pumped-up, DJ-friendly territories, NAFF affiliate Priori, hot on heels from his sophomore album, drops the hammer badman style, bringing forth the racing muscular bass and squelchy machine talk on loop mode to keep everyone on their toes from start to finish. Flexing a different kind of acidic swagger, “Autopilot” pulls out the weird extra-terrestrial jazz tropes and whirling dynamics for a round of proper otherworldly bop in the outer-space. Last but not least, “Mainframe” rounds off the release on a more openly experimental note, letting the loops, envelopes and textures float in a haze of half-controlled abstraction. The result evokes something of an immunocompromised Rubber Johnny getting glazed as he weightlessly drifts off from a galaxy to another, and into another world completely.
We finally are ready to present to you the second part of the first release of our Extrasensorial Catalog. We bring you some of the best from the South American electronic scene. For C1, we are thrilled to have a good friend of the house, Pedro d´Alessandro, who steps on board with an introspective experimental dubby approach that perfectly reflects his experience as a producer. On C2, we welcome Bok-p, this uprising Uruguayan duo brings us some pure heat straight from Montevideo, with an outstanding and refreshing track that explores 90´s breaks, techno and house with a touch of that well known Uruguayan flavor. For D1, we have a massive bomb from one of the top producers of the moment, none else than JUAAN, the Argentinean producer shared with us a real peak time bomb that will make everyone shout wherever/whenever you drop this, be it in the club, the after, or a good old house party. Finally, for D2, we bring you a deep and hypnotic track by Camilo Gil & One + 1, with lots of minimal influences filled with bouncy percs and dreamy pads, suitable for any time and moment.
Nightflight Records adds to it's fine catalog, a return to their intriguing various artist series; this time around with Privacy Policy, Khonsu, and John Shima for the "Supernova" EP... Expect old school lysergic and technological fun across all 4 tracks, as Privacy Policy navigates your mind and body through raw Acid House complete with colorful synth hues in the highs and lovely machine atmosphere on side A, while the B side serenades your ears via modern Detroit and UK influenced Techno grooves with a cosmic presence in the vibes courtesy of Khonsu. Last but not least, the one and only John Shima finishes off this quadra pack with a stellar remix taking your vibes and ears to territories of spacey and warm 90s frequencies. Experience "Supernova" and the quality its 4 tracks provide essential for those who like their House & Techno on the authentic side.PRIVACY POLICYPrivacy Policy have been writing and producing music together and on solo projects for over a decade. They've released music on Goldbrick Records and solo on Boe Recordings and Lime Street Music amongst others. These two tracks for Nightflight are for the dance floor and were inspired by longer dj sets performed together over the years.KHONSUKhonsu’s signature dreamy deep dubby sound- exploring the murky visceral grooves in the boundaries between deep techno and house – is soothing for mind, body & soul. His musical journey as a deejay, producer and promotor started in his hometown Ghent in Belgium. After residing a year and half in Amsterdam and working briefly at Delsin records, he’s back in Belgium playing in clubs like Chalet Club and Katerblau in techno capital Berlin, Barcelona’s Switch Pocket Club but also Belgian techno institute Fuse in Brussels. He has been producing music for several years but now it’s time for his first release on Nightflight Records.JOHN SHIMAJohn Shima doesn’t need much introduction. He is making deep emotional futuristic techno, with an old school spacey Detroit groove. Bordering the line between techno & electro, sounds shape the track and the beats follow the mood using old analogue hardware, and lots of live jamming. He features releases on Boe Recordings, Exalt Records, Firescope, Subwax Excursions, Distrikt Paris, Central Processing Unit…
